ERC numbers can look similar, but they are not generic substitutes for one another. The safest buying method is always printer model first, then ribbon family.
ERC-27
Epson specifies the ERC-27 family for the TM-U295 slip printer. RH Now's ERC-27B product is the black version for compatible TM-U295 / TM-290-family applications.
ERC-31
Epson specifies ERC-31 for the TM-U590 slip printer. This family is also associated with compatible TM-U950 / TM-U925 and TM-H5000II-era applications.
ERC-32
ERC-32 is used in slip-printing sections of compatible multifunction printers. Epson specifies ERC-32 for the TM-U675 and ERC-32B for TM-H6000-series slip printing.
ERC-41
ERC-41B is associated with endorsement printing on earlier TM-H6000 configurations. It should not be confused with the slip ribbon used in the same printer.
ERC-43
ERC-43B is used for endorsement printing on later Epson multifunction printers such as the TM-H2000 and TM-H6000IV.
