What Does the Catering Event Cost Worksheet Calculate?
RH Now's worksheet organizes estimated revenue and major listed costs before a quote. Revenue lines include guest count × per-person price, additional service or delivery fees, rentals or extras billed, discounts or adjustments, estimated sales tax if applicable, and total estimated revenue. Cost lines include food and beverage, packaging, labor and payroll burden, transport/fuel/parking, rentals/venue/other costs, and estimated contribution = revenue − listed costs.

The worksheet defines this as estimated revenue minus the listed costs.
IMPORTANT
Estimated Contribution Is Not the Same as Net Profit
The worksheet only subtracts the costs you list on the form. It does not automatically account for every overhead expense, tax, financing cost, administrative expense or other business cost. Treat it as a quoting and planning aid rather than a full profit-and-loss statement.
